"This rare and only recently discovered image during research for the new Hendrix 4 CD Box set "West Coast Seattle Boy" features Jimi at work showing some of his guitars scattered on the floor

This was taken from my favorite vantage point (the lowest balcony) with a 200mm lens using Kodachrome 25 ASA color film

"Jimi's hands were huge and he used his thumb to bar the entire neck of the guitar, which yielded much of his unique tone. He is seen here quietly rehearsing using a Gibson Flying V, prior to going on stage. He used the "V" for playing blues and that was his way of relaxing..(his Strat sits in the case)" ~ Eddie Kramer
