It used to have rush seating, now recently upholstered in Sanderson's wonderfully vibrant Canteloupe velvet fabric. Stamped 'T(?) Cockerell' underneath. (A quick Google shows there was a Sir Sydney Cockerell (1867 1962), who was director of the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge and at one point acted as private secretary to William Morris. He had a brother called Theodore Cockerell.) Very
